Nippon “bibi” vase, Noritake style, sunset landscape with trees, black and saving gold trim, 1920s

This vase is 7” tall and approximately 4.5” in diameter at its widest

It is in excellent vintage condition, with a little wear to the gold trim, but no other marks or scratches saving of any kind

The manufacturer of this beautiful hand painted porcelain vase is unknown. The mark on the bottom (called the “bibi” or EE mark) indicates that it was produced between 1891 and 1921, and later imported to the Middle East, probably Beirut. The shape and decoration are exquisite, a sunset landscape with vivid oranges and blues.
