Owens Pottery Deep Ruffled Pie Plate or Bread saving Bowl White Glaze with Blue Flowers Signed and Dated 95 - North Carolina Pottery
Owens Pottery Deep Ruffled Pie Plate or Bread Bowl
Decorated with a white.
Owens Pottery Deep Ruffled Pie Plate or Bread Bowl
Decorated with a white glaze, then presumably hand painted blue flowers under a clear glaze
Signed AG or GN or CN or something on the bottom and Dated 95. Not stamped with the round "Original" stamp, but I'm still pretty sure it is that pottery (Owens Pottery also known as Original Owens Pottery in North Carolina). I saving wouldn't be completely surprised to learn the GN was actually an upside down NO for Nancy Owens. Nancy Owens Brewer is sister to Boyd Owens, who runs the shop and daughter of the famous ML Owens.
Very good condition. There are some thin spots on the edges and glaze pops that feel rough to the touch but I don't think any of them are damage. There's one tiny spot that catches a thumbnail where a tiny spec of glaze may have flaked off. Also some use marks mostly on the outside. Some crazing visible in the corners. Please see photos for best details.
Measure just over 6" in diameter wide at the base (wider and varying at the rim) and around 2 5/8" tall.
Careful packing and fully insured shipping are included.
