Isaac Pitman's complete Phonographic Instructor's book, a 1898 revised edition. Designed for class or self-instruction. This book is over 100 years old! The book is in FAIR usable vintage condition, with heavy edge wear, tear, and old book staining. The inside of the covers both have writing on them, and it does have some damage to the front cover- what appears to be water damage (see saving pictures). This is a hard-to-find edition, it doesn't seem like there are to many left in circulation! It's a RARE find for sure!

*** Sir Isaac Pitman (4 January 1813 – 22 January 1897)[1] was a teacher of the English language who developed the most widely used system of shorthand, known now as Pitman shorthand. He first proposed this in Stenographic Sound-hand in 1837. He was also the vice-president of the Vegetarian Society. Pitman was knighted by Queen Victoria in 1894.
