Stunning Vintage Brass Wine Coaster with Bakelite Base saving and Grape and Vine Embossings || Unique Galleried Bottle Holder with Elegant Design

Fabulous large brass galleried wine coaster with bakelite base, and stunning embossings of grapes and vines around the rim. The base is covered with a black baize to protect the underlying surfaces. It bears no maker's mark, but dates from the mid-twentieth century. This elegant coaster is not only perfect to catch any drips and condensation, but would look stunning on any dinner table.

It shows some signs of wear and use, including a couple of small cuts to the baize under the base, but remains in very good vintage condition overall. It has been lightly polished to bring out its warm golden shine.

It measures approximately D15cm x H8cm, and can hold bottles up to 11.5cm of diameter. It weighs around 500g.
