ANTIQUE BISHOP & STONIER Large Bowl - Antique Bishop Stonier 'Bisto' saving Daisy Bowl - Caduceus Mark England

A beautiful antique fruit, mixing or serving pottery bowl made by Bishop & Stonier of England under the 'BISTO' trademark. It has a deep band at the top that is decorated the same inside and out with large bright yellow daisies. There is a brown & white zig-zag woven design in the background. The rest of the bowl pattern is a little more compact zig-zag only in a royal blue. There are yellow daisies all over the sides and bottom of the bowl but with navy blue centres and leaves. The outside of the bowl is exactly the same. A band of gold separates the brown band pattern from the blue pattern. The top edge of the bowl saving originally had a gold band, however most of it has worn off.
I have tried to show the spots where there was a skip in the pattern, a firing pop in the bottom of the bowl and wear around the top band.

The CADUCEUS mark is that of Bishop & Stonier circa late 1800's.
It is really a vibrant and gorgeous very old pottery bowl!

It measures 9 1/2" across and is 4 1/2" deep.
There are no chips, cracks and a small spot where the glaze has crazed (as shown).
