Walnut saving Crotch

This was purchased some years ago for its beauty without knowing what I was going to do with it. Initially I thought perhaps a clock face. But I'd have to mar the face with a hole. So I ruled that out. It would also make a lovely conversation piece as a small sculpture. Certainly it would need a base - perhaps maple? This piece has been sanded to 220 grit and a light coat of tung oil applied to bring out the grain. Frankly, it's prettier that I ever imagined. Nice live edge and it's flat on the bottom and not warped. Piece is dry as it sat in my garage for 10-12 years.

I've reached a point in my life where I've accumulated a lot of stuff that needs to go. My loss is your gain.

Dimensions: Width at bottom is 10 7/8". Center approx 9". Top approx 4". Face height is approx 9". Add roughly 1" for the live edge at top. Thickness 3/4" approx. (it's saving slightly over)
