The saving Classic

The Classic is a timeless piece. The beauty of it will be appreciated for many years. A contemporary piece it is not.
When I was much younger. It was in the 1960's that I saw a picture of something very similar to this classic. It was a bit larger. It was displayed on a marble mantel between two Victorian chairs. I looked at the photo and thought to myself, " I wonder where did one find a piece of wood with all those extensions?". I had never seen anything like it before. And to be placed in such an elaborate setting made it more intriguing.
An now the there is The Classic. Somewhat smaller than the one in the photo. But just as unique .
It is very rare saving to find a root with so many extensions of the same size. Yes, a very rare find.
