Vintage 1960s Mexican Aztec or Mayan Mask Brooch or Pendant, Sterling Silver Abalone saving

This Unusual hand made sterling silver and Abalone shell pin or pendant hails from Mexico, circa 1960s. It is a frightening but interesting visage of a Native style mask or head dress. It measures 2 3/8ths inches high and wide. It is in excellent, near mint condition and has a locking safety clasp as well saving as a necklace bale on the back. The work is exquisite .
