I just rescued this wonderful vintage book from a local book fair!
Original Vintage Cover Boards - "Child-Library Reader : Book Five"
Not a reprint!

The interior cover pages have been removed - the boards have been sanded down to the original book board - and the pages replaced with a light green/yellow colored paper. (The original interior covers were aged and worn). The boards have been hand cut and hand sanded with the corners rounded. The book board edges have been hand painted to match the cover and sealed.

Strathmore Cream Colored Drawing Paper - 80 lb
Hand cut and hand folded.

172 pages (counting both sides)

The first and last interior page is a light green/yellow colored Canson paper. The signatures (groups of paper) each have small light green/yellow spacers (1/2") - to create the green color on the spine.

The journal has been hand sewn with dark green colored linen thread - using a french link stitch - onto burnt orange leather straps. The board underneath the leather straps has been carved away and the leather has been adhered to the cover and stitched with an "x" in matching linen thread.

Please note: This cover shows slight signs of wear from its previous life. This feature only enhances the recycled and vintage nature saving of this journal.
