Vintage Quilt Sun Hat Bucket saving Hat Indigo

The quintessential summer hat crafted from a late-1800s/early-1900s vintage indigo blue and bright white quilt.

The quilt saving was entirely hand constructed, with lightweight cotton batting and cotton fabrics. Its many washes and extensive use left it beautifully faded, with classic quilt crinkle and a crisp hand feel.

The hat is lightweight, soft, and pliable. Easy to shape and wear, and easy to fold and store in a handbag or pocket.

Garments made from old quilts are delicate and should not be machine washed. Hand wash in cold water and mild soap. Do not wring or twist but gently squeeze out excess water. Reshape and lay flat to dry.
