Vintage FOSTORIA Glass Cut Glass Console Bowl & Matching 2-Part Divided Relish Dish
Pattern: ROSE (Design #827)
Blank: CONTOUR (Design #2666)
Produced by Fostoria Glass from 1951 to 1973 ~ A single, unfurling rose, framed by leaves, is cut on the outside of each piece
(See photo #1 for an inside view of the relish dish, #2 for the inside of the bowl, and #7 for an 'outside' view of the relish dish)
Just as well-made, just as elegant as mold-etched ("elegant") depression glass!!
This pattern was produced after the Depression Era ended (courtesy of WWII), and is cut rather than mold-etched
Fostoria used the "Contour" blank for several other patterns, as well
Thick, heavy glass; no evidence of mold seams as they were polished smoothed, along with the footing rim (see photos #8-10)
The kidney-shaped divided relish dish measures ~7-1/2" x ~5" x ~1-3/4" high and weighs 1 lb. 3 oz.
The asymmetrical, 'high-low' console bowl measures ~11-1/2" x ~9-7/8" x 4-1/4" high and weighs 4 lbs.
Why clear glass? Because it readily adapts to ANY color scheme AND is still affordably collectible! One of the easiest ways to choose

Elizabeth (Morgantown Glass Works), Diane (Cambridge Glass), Minerva (Cambridge Glass), Paulina (Tiffin Glass), Rose, Rena (Paden City Glass),
Lois (Tiffin Glass), Lorna (Cambridge Glass), Louise (Fostoria Glass), Rosemary (Federal Glass), Willow (Fostoria Glass), . . .
Excellent Vintage Condition!! There is, however, the tiniest nick in the footing of the console bowl (see last photo)
