This 1888 (over 130 years old!) Jack Straws (think Pick-Up-Sticks) game is in excellent condition!

This version by McLoughlin Bros contains original pieces with the exception of the metal hook, with a wooden handle, used to pick the "sticks" up. The original may be included here, but it appears fixed with a nail, and an additional metal hook has been added over the years. The 4 corners of the top lid are broken, but due to the thick box, it does not impact its function.

This game contains 56 out of 57 sticks, including 2 that have metal pieces that can be sharp. The instructions are a photo copy of the original. Nearly all of the sticks saving are (seemingly) hand numbered. Incredible!

McLoughlin Brothers were known for their gorgeous artwork, both in games and in books. They used chromolithography for their games, using incredibly colors and graphics. Theirs game division was purchased by Milton Bradley in 1920.
