A very rare collection of Cassells National Library. This was a series of popular English Literature of the period which was published by Cassell, Petter, Galpin and co in the late 1800s. The edited versions were edited by the notable Professor Henry Morley and saving were published over 209 weeks. They sold for 3d paperback and 6d hardback. All's Well That Ends Well was published in 1891 and also features The Story of Giletta. There is some foxing on the cover inside page consistant with age and some zealous scholar has underlined a few lines of the play in pencil but otherwise this book is quite amazing for its age. King Henry V111 is the next book, also published in 1891. it too has a few pencil underlinings, easy to erase, and the owners name in pencil on the inside cover but otherwise is perfect. The next book Cymbeline was published in 1892, some foxing on inside cover and the pencil underlinings but very good condition overall. The last book is The Winters Tale, published 1892 and also including Pandosto, or the triumph of time. Also has underlinings in pencil but again amazing condition for its age. I also have another Shakespeare Julius Caesar on this site but its much earlier in the series so I have listed it separately but will combine postage if all are purchased as a job lot. Have included postage to UK, USA and Europe but happy to post worldwide.
