The C-130 four-engine turboprop aircraft fulfills a wide range of roles within the operational mission of airlift support and aerial delivery for the U.S. Armed Forces and many other nations around the world (military and civilian use). It can accommodate a wide variety of cargo, from oversized vehicles and helicopters to military and medical personnel, load up to 42,000 lbs, and land and take-off from unprepared, rough, dirt runways. The highly configurable airframe lends to additional uses for resupply in challenging environments like the Arctic, fire-fighting and aerial spray missions, natural disaster relief, and humanitarian relief. Designed in 1951 for the U.S. Air Force, the versatile C-130 continues to remain in production today! This print features the 4-bladed C-130 Hercules, which predates the most recent production model, the 8-bladed C-130J Super Hercules.
