Saving sierra ballpoint pen 3

This is a sierra ballpoint pen made with a carbon fiber and acrylic barrel and saving chrome plated fittings. The blank is made by casting carbon fiber fabric in an acrylic resin. It uses standard parker style ink refills. Other sierra ballpoint pens are available as shown in the pictures.

The carbon fiber and acrylic blank is prepared for the lathe by cutting to length. The blank is then mounted on the lathe and turned to the desired shape. After turning, it is sanded to 1500 grit sandpaper and polished. Calipers are used to match the diameters of the ends with the corresponding fitting.
