Miniature Pair of Green Stone Carved Foo Dogs on Pedestal saving Bases

saving It's hard to see the details in the photos because of the nature of the stone, but these foo dogs have a stunning amount of detail! The material seems to be carved soapstone, but in places seems to have a wax-like coating. Foo dogs are meant to be symbolic & protective statues; the female represents yin and instinctively protects the people of the household, while the male, representing the yang, protects the structure. Dimensions: 3" tall, 7/8" wide, 7/8" deep.
