Left in their classic cylindrical shape these wonderful crystal specimen come from the Erongo mountains in Namibia, Africa. Aquamarine derives its name from Latin for seawater and Roman legends reconciled enemies by presenting them with a frog-figure like of the stone. The beautiful Yellow Beryl Aquamarine specimens which are known as a “sun-gift” by the Greek words Helios (sun) and Doros (gift). This gemstone is in the same family as Aquamarine and Emerald and has the same hardness scale.
