Saving Dream of Spiralius

For this new lamp I let myself go with the cut-outs on the white (young) coconut shell. This work requires a lot of strength and a dentist's drill because of the extreme hardness of the shell. The design is quite simple, a spiral starting from the top of the shell which descends towards the base with regular cut-outs all the way. As usual everything is rounded and finely sanded to give a very soft finish. The result is a very agreeable silky feel.
In the dark the lamp projects complicated patterns on any close by surface. I find that this lamp has a sort of circus feel about it.....
The shell is firmly screwed onto a base made saving of black painted wood which is fitted with a 1.8meter long power cord,(Europe) a 15W 220v* bulb (E14) and with non slip felt protections.
