Colorful buoys on cedar shingles - an original nautical relief painting

The shingles and the wooden window frame have been weathering, and the buoys have all seen some use.
Buoys' signature colors and patterns identify the owners of lobster traps set along rocky areas off saving shore,
and then spend their later years as attractive beacons on coastal buildings.
A sunny day on the coast is reflected in the window.

I enjoyed sculpting this detailed bas relief, and made a hard gypsum casting for this painting.
The relief is mounted on canvas board, surrounded by sand texture with a wet beach sand tone.
I made the two-tone frame from pine.
