On the print is the Arkansas Traveler song line designed by a native & Dedicated to Col. S. C. Faulkner. The Arkansas Traveler is an honorary title bestowed on notable individuals who, through their actions serve as goodwill ambassadors for the US state of Arkansas. A certificate is signed by the governor, secretary of state & the recipient's sponsor, & given to the honoree during a ceremony attended by the signers. The story of the “Arkansas Traveler” naturally has its roots in Arkansas, but over time it has come to be a universal American folk tale. The origin of this tale is in a story recounted by Colonel Sanford Faulkner, an Arkansas farmer / politician. This is a great historical piece & in a beautiful frame.
