Product code: Antique Mauchline Ware Pin Cushion saving Disc Wood From George Washington HQ House
This is an antique Mauchline ware pin cushion disc that purports to be made from wood taken from the shingles of the house where George Washington had his headquarters in Morristown, New Jersey in 1780. The other side of the piece has an illustration of, I guess, the house. The piece measures 1 1/2” in diameter and 1/2” in thickness. The pins would be stored in the velvet around the side. It is in very good condition with no pronounced wear. Nice collectible piece for either the sewing notions collector, saving the Americana collector or the Mauchline ware collector!
